![]() ![]() Now I had been admiring his tele for a little while. About the time that I think I should offer to let him play it at church he looks at me and says, "You want my tele? I will trade you straight across." I nod and we go back to playing and he is continuing the play the strat. ![]() I looked at him strange and he told me, "I used to have one of these, it was my first guitar." The guy goes and picks it up, tunes it up and then goes to playing better than he had ever played. I never play it as I hate the Floyd and the locking nut" I told him. "Oh it is an old guitar I bought a while back. So he and I were practicing at my house one day when he spied the Super Strat sitting in a corner behind my other guitars. So we had a guy at church that wanted to get back into playing guitar so he went out and go him a nice MIM Tele (probably a late 90s model) and started playing in the church band. I eventually shelved it and played a Fender Strat or an LP. I had a Series 10 or Samick (I can't remember which one) Strat that I bought back in the early 90s. Sometimes the value of the guitar is definitely determined by what someone will pay for it.
